Tips On How To Have A Healthy Happy Pregnancy

Pregnancy is an intimate issue. Whether it’s planned or comes all of a sudden, it greatly changes a woman’s life. Pregnancy is not simply about replacing tight-fitting jeans with loose maternity clothes, high-heeled shoes with ballet flats. It’s about changing one’s lifestyle. Yet, changes should be made before the baby is born. Thus, prenatal care is of vital importance. Here are some tips on how to have a healthy happy pregnancy.

Good nutrition is crucial to ensuring that a mother’s body can provide an unborn baby with the nourishment he or she needs to grow. Thus, having a well-balanced diet rich in vitamins is one of the main things a stylish maternity clothes clad mum-to-be should consider. First of all, the daily intake should be increased by 100 calories in the first trimester and 300 calories during the rest of pregnancy. Calcium, iron, folic acid, vitamin D are especially vital for the baby. To get enough calcium and vitamin D a mum-to-be should have dairy foods four or more times a day. Mother’s daily intake of meat, fish, dried fruits, whole-grain breads may ensure that the baby gets enough iron. Folic acid is found in leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, beans and whole grains. Changing the mother’s eating habits is rewarding for both.

Exercising is often recommended for mums-to-be. Yet, every woman should remember to wear comfortable maternity clothes during any physical activity. Regular exercising during pregnancy is believed to make labour and delivery easier. It may improve circulation, strengthen back muscles and leave a woman energetic for the rest of the day.  Women who exercise during pregnancy are reported to sleep and feel better. Pilates, yoga classes, swimming and brisk walking are the best choices for physical and emotional well-being.

Wearing specially designed maternity clothes is also vital for proper prenatal care. Tight-fitting clothes and high heels should be kept in the closet during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimester. Today, there are a lot of comfortable alternatives that look great and may help pregnant women feel good. Modern maternity clothes are made of fabrics that can stretch and keep shape at the same time. They come in all colours and styles, are suitable for everyday or special wear.

Maternity clothes also include lingerie. It’s important to select a proper maternity bra. Comfort, ease of fastening and unfastening should be top priority. Looking attractive? Possible. The market today offers a great variety of beautiful comfortable underwear for mums-to-be.

Pregnant women should also opt for comfortable shoes. Laces-free footwear is the best option, as women may find it difficult to bend to tie laces, especially in the last trimester. Business women, used to wearing high heels, can swap them for ballet flats and dressy loafers to look and feel great at work. Footwear worn during exercising should also be comfortable and easy to put on and take off.

When organised properly, pregnancy can turn into to be enjoyable. A healthy diet, an active lifestyle and proper prenatal care may bring rewards after the baby is born.
